Term3 exams continue.....

Night #3, extremely long night.

Long night cos.. I fell asleep at 8.30pm and woke up at 12.30am =_= time to hit the books.

i've got work at 8.30am, paper at 3.45pm. Talk about stress!

人有三急：何谓三急？

Interesting insights into the infamous saying ;)

现在“人有三急”多用来指饮食或排泄问题等等,说法不同。这种引用倒也形象贴切，无可厚非。

　　而有史可查的真正说法是“人有三疾”。三疾分别为“狂”（狂妄）、“矜”（矜持）和“愚”（愚昧），出自于《论语·阳货》：“子曰：古者民有三疾,今也或是之亡也。古之狂也肆,今之狂也荡;古之矜也廉,今之矜也忿戾;古之愚也直,今之愚也诈而已矣。”
　　这句话是孔子对上古淳厚人心的赞颂,也是对于当时“世风日下，人心不古”的社会状况发出的感叹。

　　也有另外几种说法：

　　(1)人有三急,所谓三急,是说人一天必须要的:
　　尿急,(小便)
　　便急,(大便)
　　屁急.
　　有时是憋不住的.所以称为三急.

　　(2)有几种说法：一说是人一生必须要的，“内急，性急，心急”：
　　上厕所急。结婚入洞房急。老婆在里面生孩子你在外面等急。
二说就是人一天必须要的，即“尿急，屎急，屁急”。其实尿急，屎急，屁急归根到底，都是内急的一种。

　　(3)尿急，渴急，饿急。

random bites of updates. end of year 1 term 3!

apologies once again for the lack of updates. as usual lah hor. by now u guys shud have gotten used to my sporadism (is there such a word lol). anyway to make up for it, this post shall be full of random topics of updates =D

Finally! approaching the end of my Year 1 degree course. this week will be my last week of lessons of my final term of year 1. 2 weeks later will be my exams! stress~~ cos i haven started studying... cos obviously work is still ongoing. oh God save me T_T

i've gotten fat! ahhhhhh this is a nightmareeeee im now carrying a spare tire around~ i've decided to stop eating anything after 10pm. this timing is based on the time i finish my classes. so at least i can munch during lecture... lol. counterproductive?

yup i've changed my specs and DIY dyed my hair... if u guys havent got the chance to see me yet.. now i look less like an ah lian. haha. i still remember the last time junhan saw me wif blonde highlites and she went "omg jas what happened to ur hair"

oh i've experienced stomach flu this month. i havent vomitted for in like, 10 years? haha. ever since my mum stopped bringing me to malaysia via car, i stopped vomitting =x my carsickness quite jialat haha. anyway, one of the days this month, i threw up my lunch during work :( i puked a total of 3 times in the office. first was my lunch, followed by some water i drank after i vomitted, den 3rd was a little bit of water i drank after i vomitted the 2nd time. total rejection of liquid and solid =_= den i decided to leave early to go see doctor. so i took a cab all the way home to the clinic near my hse. i vomitted a 4th time in the taxi (thank God i brought along plastic bags), this time was the sour plum i ate after my 3rd puking. gahhhhh.

an interesting thing happened to me yesterday wahaha. i was wearing my jc PE tshirt, plain casual black shorts, sneakers, no makeup, ponytail, with an average looking all black "zao-lor" bag lol. the only thing which might have hinted i was not a current student of the sch whose t-shirt i was wearing, is that i got dyed brown hair. the highlites not very obvious liao. but on the other hand, i may have just looked like a chao ah lian to others :P a few hours ago in the afternoon i had a 2~3 hour nature walk so i was in that attire la. anyway, i was at ang mo kio hunting for dinner, entered this place called Sumo House, where they sell really cheap and cheapo japanese food. like, $2.90 for a cheapo katsudon? cheapo as in the quality is as good as an average economic rice stall. otherwise the portion is quite worth it. i think they buy precooked materials or those microwavable ones den just heat up and sell to the customers. i was hungry lah. so i ordered curry chicken udon, which comes with freeflow hot green tea. the lady came after 5-10min and presented my curry udon. yay! so i ate. 1 minute later she reappeared and placed an extra plate of fried dumplings on my table. i looked at her like o.o? i din order this leh. Then she said, "free, for students only." i stunned for 1 second then happily answered "o ok thank u!!!"

hahahaha!

made my day. HAHA.

throughout last week, i went shopping at bugis almost every other day. because i was so stressed up! i needed to relax. so almost every day after work, i'll make a trip to bugis street, which is 15min by mrt from queenstown. usually i reach bugis at abt 6pm. after that i would rush back down to queenstown to attend my lessons, which start at 7pm. half of the students usually only arrive at 7.30pm, so i joined them lol. here's the outcome of my retail therapy: $8 calf-length cotton black tights, $8 full-length cotton black tights, 6 items of assorted simple bead necklaces and plastic bangles (1 for $2, 3 for $5, i bought 6.), $2 thin black belt, and a $11 opague white rose ring from Diva. On Tuesday before i went for choir practice at jurong west, i shopped at Jurong Point. i found this shop which sells items similar to Bugis street's, with about the same price range. so i bought a $15 dress, a $10 loose t-shirt top, and $12 milky white thigh-length cotton cardigan. You can see that none of my items exceed 20 bucks. haha.

i still have more items on my list to purchase... but this will stop here for now. After therapy, it's time to get back into the act! Gotta focus and study hard liao. 2 more weeks to exams! and i've finished like 2 chapters out of 50. woohoo!

I did it! Dye-It-Yourself! Liese Bubble Hair Colour - Ash Brown

-VERDICT- OVERALL: 7/10.
Colour

accuracy = 3/10 (end result is like totally off the predicted range lol)

richness = 7.5/10

coverage = 6/10
Chemical/dye

quantity = 10/10 (definitely enough for shoulder blade-length hair, or even longer. unless u have hair longer and thicker than jun's. hahaha.)

smell = 8.5/10 (this is far better than other nosewrenching headthrobbing ammonia i've endured.)

skin/scalp comfort = 9.5/10 (i wud have given 10pts, but as wif all chemicals, i dun care how insensitive u are physically, u will still experience some itchiness and stinging sensation a little here and there. if there's too much irritation then probably u're sensitive or allergic to their ingredients ba)
Comfort

userfriendy = 9/10 (unless u dun read, u cant go wrong. maybe except with the 'agahration' part abt how much foam is too little or too much.)

post dye and wash = 10/10 (very good arh! my hair quality actually felt better after i dyed it!)
**Bonus** Price = 10/10 (this costs $19.90 at all departmental stores)
I feel this is totally worth the price. Colour aside, comfort really made up for it. Besides, although the colour is indeed off, but the quality is not bad, not like very jialat de faded colour or wat. And the best thing is i bought it at less than $14 WAHAHAHA cos Ee Hua got discount at John Little ^^v woots!

Worth = 100/100 hahaha. tts for me :)

Update abt 21 things

To do 21 things this year that i've never done before in my life

Went jamming at a jamming studio with a band :D i'm the singer!
...And actually eventually formed and joined a band lol.
Led testimony in cell group
Performed as a singer soloist (wif accompanying guitarist) in front of 70 ppl
Bought smthg from SK Jewellery all by myself (albeit not my money, help someone buy lol)
Tried a really different hairdo.. jellyfish style with bold blonde highlites.. although not really what i actually wanted lol but well nvm =x
Inoculate an agar plate! properly! lol
Attended half an overnight prayer meeting.. =x ok nex time i shall try my best to stay through the whole thing!
Plucked my eyebrows by myself into more or less a proper shape, ha!
Led praise in cell group
Watched a movie alone
Completed teaching GS bible study. wow! by God's grace.
Simultaneously owning 2 active mobile phone numbers
Watched Kenneth bowl with his school club
Ate prata at Jalan Kayu xD
Watched a 3D movie (G-Force at Golden Village)
Hands-on measuring blood pressure using sphygmomanometer and stethoscope
Wore a hat (beret) as a fashion item out to the streets (main purpose is to serve choir tt day actually... haha)
Started eating veggies voluntarily and willingly after 21 years of my life! hahaha~
kenneth says: watch aeroplane at changi. (i duno how to describe tt place lol)
DIY dyed my hair! all by my own! ^^v

as i've commented before, some of the stuff i listed are abit 'cannot make it' kind lah.... hahaha. hopefully i can experience more first-time events such tt i can replace those borderline cases hehe.
